Well I got bit!! now I,m haveing trouble removeing the cam. I have a 98 12 valve, does it have a meck. lift pump? Like my old 89 did? Do I have to remove the lift pump to get the cam to slide out? I can only get it to come out 1-2 inches. Any help would be most welcom

 

Yes and Yes.

You don't have to pull the cam, you can pull the gear off the cam, then heat the gear to reinstall.
