Have you tried looking for a industrial suppler of hoses in your town/city. just take the one you have off to one and see if they have something that will fit. I'm sure you can buy a rubber hose much cheaper than that.

well I got the boot in, I took the old one off with the half a roll of duct tape and the pressure just sliced a hole right through. The new boot was a pain to put on, I had to use wd40 to get it on.

Um, kind of a bad plan there bud. Since you used a lubricant to get it ON, think of how easily it will blow OFF now. Better carry a wrench with you for when it blows off.
I'd remove it, clean the surfaces, and re-install dry or use hairspray as mentioned earlier.

My truck is fully loaded with tools =). I tightened the hell out of those clamps so its hard to imagine the boot coming off. I put 40 miles on it so far with no problems.

Well, allright. No offense meant, just lookin out for ya. Thats just not a place where I, personally, would recommend using wd40. Best of luck, glad you got the problem fixed!

Dave, did you do know that by him using WD40 he lucked out because it evaporates and leaves no residue behind? If he had used motor oil yes he'd have allot of problems of it blowing back off.
