Unhappy HELP! Clutch Bleeding

My clutch pedal was depressed while the slave was hanging in the air. We were installing a new clutch.
It pumped the piston out of the slave.....

How can I refill and bleed this system? It's a new setup, less than 3 weeks old, so throwing it away is not an option.

Never done one on a Ram but on other rigs the only way was to hang it up straight vertical, slowly add fluid and let it sit overnight to let the bubbles rise to the top.

We just replaced the one (whole system) on my truck out at Forest City Diesel and I think we left the slave cylinder hang from the master cylinder in a vise and just pumped the master slowly till all air was gone. It is a PITA but worked well.

Thanks for the replys.

After trying a couple of methods we were able to bleed it and got it back to "normal".

Truckracer,

I changed out my clutch as well and have the same problems as you. What were the other methods you tried that worked?
So far nothing I've tried works.

Thanks

As I understand it, these slave cylinders are "self" bleeding, meaning you just have to pump it until the air is out of there. Have you tried that, bwat4? Is it not working?

Been pumping it alot. Three weeks worth in fact. Including driving.
It doesn't seem to want to get the air out of the system.
