Need help bleeding clutch
Need help bleeding clutch
I replaced the clutch master cylinder and on a 2002 Dodge diesel pick up. I removed the slave cylinder and bled it because it doesn't have a bleeder valve. I then bled the line at the slave cylinder using my finger as a check valve. My problem is I still seem to have air in the system. The clutch will release only when the pedal is pressed all the way to the floor. Any help on how to bleed this system with no bleeder valve will be appreciated. The truck has been driven for three days with no improvement.

I have had to do this quite a few times and the best way I know of is to gravity bleed it. You need a helper. Disconnect the line at the slave cylinder and have someone just keep pouring fluid into the master for about 30 seconds. Then hook the line back up while the fluid is still flowing through the line. Worked every time for me. Just gets kind of messy.
