Engine removal

Where is the best place to hook chain for 2004 CTD engine removel. It looks like if you try to use factory hooks the chain will hit the firewall before you get it out of the motor mounts.

If its like the '03, the rear engine lift bracket is bolted there just so you have it when you need it. The head bolts need to be pulled from #4 and #12 position in the head and the rear engine lift bracket is moved and bolted there. (on the driver's side, from the firewall, the bolts are numbered 24, 20, 16, 12, 8, 4, 1, 5, etc..., it is the torque sequence numbers.)

i dunno if an 03 would be any different but on my 97 i found that removing the motor mounts completely made it easy as pie to remove/install the engine.
