do you have the TIPM in your truck? and what dealer is doing the service. i would like the ecm would be covered under the 100000 miles cummins warranty.

mine is a BCM. For some reason i was immediately told ECM's are only warrantied for 50k. Its had tons of downloaders on it, no question there. BUT the ECM was dead when they got it, so how do they know?

I have a feeling that since the ECM was dead they assumed it was a downloader that did it. That or there is a safe mode so to speak that they can boot the ECM off of to see what the last few things were.

it was literally fried, so i was told. It was like there was nothing there at all. Pulled the Bullydog off before i took the truck in, even put that Triple Dog back on another truck since then. No problems to speak of.

This is not a downloader problem.

Never called it a downloader problem. Said that the dealer probably assumed that it was a downloader that caused the ECM to fry so they voided the warranty on it or came up with an excuse why it ain't covered.

Ok new wiring harness finally came in. TIPM and the "front" ECM are still fried....

i was told the faulty wiring harness must have caused them to short out, but now i'm not being charged for the $830 wiring harness?!

this is a turning into a big mess. I told the guy im coming to get my truck saturday, it better be done. Overnight the parts, whatever...but im coming to get my truck or see you, one or the other.

My buddy at the dealer somehow can't be reached, for some reason his co-workers don't like for me to speak to him directly (cause he is above them i guess?!, i'm not sure.)

the saga continues.....
