Is there any codes? You can use your digital odometer to read them. You turn the key to the on position but not start it. You then turn it off, back on then off then back to the on position and leave it there. It should then read some codes if there is any in the odometer. When it is done it will show P DONE

I am no expert but if you are getting fuel to the injectors your pump is probably ok. Start with the basics, have you done anything lately to the engine, you might be sucking air from a hose, fuel filter, or got bad fuel. I am sure some one with more knowledge than myself will jump in on this thread. Hope this helps alittle.--Ray

did you put the o-ring back on the filter top?

If so, loosen the cap, and cycle the key on, (NOT START) and let the lift pump push fluid out of the top a bit, tighten down the cap. Next crack three of the injector llines, adn spin it over. If it starts, stop engine and tighten injector lines. If it does not, tighten those lines, and then loosen the other three. Spin it over.
Try that.

Did the truck start ok before you changed the fuel filter? If so go back through and make sure the o ring isn't doubled up or missing. Just as the last post advised. --RAY

I had the same thing happen to me on a truck that came to the shop. is the lift pump, (supply) working?
when you open the filter housing, you broke the vacuum on the fuel system.

the ring is on their correctly on the furel filter..ive already cracked three of the lines and turn over the motor and i get diesel coming out of the lines so i close them up and i can get the truck running for about 5-10 mins the most then after that it shuts off.....and i repeat the process over again....but the lines are bone dry after it shuts off after running for those 5-10 mins

Kind of iffy help on this one. Guess most are tired of answering this age old question. First things first....Key off, turn the key to "bump" the starter. This should get the lift pump to run it's 20 second cycle. If you don't hear the lift pump you need to investigate as to why. IF you do here it the next thing would be to put a fuel psi gauge on it. You can get a cheap gauge at Vatozone and screw it onto the schrader valve test port where the fuel goes "in" to the injection pump. Bump the key and observe the psi. Anything over 5 should allow the truck to start (12-15 would be ideal). This info should at least tell you that you are getting a decent supply of fuel to the injection pump. If that is all ok, then most likely you are looking at an injection pump. Getting the codes scanned ( I prefer the DRB dealer tool on this one as it will indicate key cycles) can come in handy here too.
