2000 Dodge 3500 Cummins wont start
Bought used in September 2003 put edge chip in truck has ran great until last 6 months, it tows and works everday, when towing 5,000 lbs and up it had little power up hills, it was OK when no hauling, 2 weeks ago I was on open highway conditions and it was like bucking, not running smooth. Next day it blew blue smoke when I stomped it going up a hill. I drained water sediment filter with engine off. Fired it up and 20 seconds later it shut off, I have tried for the codes on odometer there are none showing, The lift pump is buzzing, truck has 181,000 and I think lift and P44 are from the factory, I remember more buzzing under the hood before all this happened, does the P44 make a noticible noise when wait to start engine light is on. I have posted codes below.

I tried to see what the codes were in tech facts and they weren't there not sure if the site needs to be updated or what, but I've found that the numbering system works such that simalar numbers are in the same system so your PO460 should be a fuel problum and your P1693 and electrical , hope you get more info .

If they are electrical codes, then I would check the connections for the EZ to the CANBUS for the pump.. maybe some moisture got in there.
Try pulling the box off and see if it makes a difference.

OUT OF FUEL? After reading several post with same codes as mine:
P 0460
P 1693
all have said their problem was faulty fuel sender, so you think you have a 1/4 tank but actually you are empty?

Just Quit
Phox, drained the water sediment filter, fired her up and 20 seconds later died in driveway, Day before it sputtered and kicked blew a puff of blue going up a hill and went about 20 miles running rough for the most part, if it's empty do I need to crack injectors? or just bump Lift pump?, also should I change fuel filter I have not done and put 30,000 on truck. Thanks

Yes, you should change the filter.
It should be changed every 10-15 miles, so you are due, at least.
If you ran it totally out, you'll probably have to crack an injector line or two after you fill it up and bump the starter to fill the filter bowl after changing the filter.
If filter bowl doesn't fill, then your lift pump is dead.
