Stupid Question of the night

I bought a lower radiato hose today and there is a coil spring inside. Your supposed to pull that out right????

Nope. Usually the draw side hose will have a support spring so the water pump doesn't pull the hose shut when hot and pliable.

The spring serves 2 purposes. What was previously stated, and it prevents the hose from kinking and creasing shut from an unnatural bend.
