Great idea though, will work for someone.
rbrett - Currently I make a small exhaust product and sell it on the net to a select club. With my experience with this product, I don't think that a 4" or 5" exhaust with a flanged / bolted in muffler / straight pipe would have any problems with leaks. But even if it leaked a very small bit, I don't think it would matter much.

Considering what I'm making now, I've been kicking around the idea of making a complete exhaust (kit) for 2nd gen CTD's. It would be a straight pipe (of course ) but now I think adding in a flanged area for a muffler would be a great option.

Ah well, I'm just kicking around the idea ... I'm having a hard time trying to determine the best way to bend 5 inch pipe.

True forrest. I think he just wanted to harass me a bit since I'm young and my truck is probably a lot cooler than the one that he owned.

Last weekend I had my truck inspected and the girl didn't even drive it. Guess she can't drive a stick.

Doesn't surprise me. I'm actually scheduled to go to court to try and fight a smoking ticket a buddy of mine got and he wasn't even the one that caused the smoke. It was the truck in front of us. The cop from 3 blocks back on a different road in the dark just looked over, saw smoke, saw my buddy in his truck, and gave him a ticket. Tell me how jacked up that is.

come on big blue, the officer was just trying to do his job. give him a break. all that smoke that you college station guys cause is destroying the enviroment and causing global warming. if you dont mind, knock it off...im gonna have kids in the next few years and your ruining it for all of us. kudos to the cop for standing up for what is right. i think all diesel owners should get smoke tickets daily excpet the 18 wheelers, even though they smoke alot they are the back bone of the country. as Dr. Phil would say, "lets get real"

brett

i am udderly and totally full of it tonight and of course im just kidding. good luck with fighten the ticket

Yeah, umm, don't get me started on cops up here. Or Dr. Phil who is a woman in a man's body cause no man in the world knows that much about women. None. God himself does not know that much about women and he created them.

You guarantee she does. Or maybe Dr. Phil isn't a real person at all? It's a robotic suit and there's a woman inside of it. Hmmmm.......

Now back to our regularly scheduled thread.
