So far, so good. 5" straight pipe, but the extra turbo quiets it down a bit. My dad told me he could hear me romping on it from 3 miles away when I had the stock turbo and mufflerectomy on the 99. I don't know that I really believe him though. Then again, several people said my truck was REALLY loud with the mufflerectomy. I couldn't hear it inside though.
I do mind my manners, for noise and smoke, when around LEO's. Some like it some don't, and I don't want to be an example.

Haha, my dad can hear me from the railroad tracks, some 3.5 miles away. I guess the cops dont care, cause since I swapped the turbo and am upgrading downpipe to 4", ive just been running the downpipe and it is LOUD! to me anyway.

For a story though, I had it out with a gas station "mechanic" last winter cause he failed my inspection for having no muffler...2 miles down the road it somehow passed.

Had my truck straight through for a year and a half and no problems. I do try and be easy in town, etc. Save the noise for cruisin friday/saturdays nights once in awhile, down the country roads and such. Still don't care to listen to the radio much, turn it down, roll down windows. Although it's been way to hot/humid here lately for that, so the radio gets turned on.

Been to upstate NY twice and did get some looks from people up there. Like they have never heard a straight piped Dodge Cummins or something???? We were going up to Lake Ontario and cruisin up a two lane, me and my two kids so not being stupid or anything and a lady was in her garden out front and stopped, stood up and watched as we went by. Nobody really gives a hoot down here....even the cattle don't care!!

I was driving through a small town in Northern Michigan and a cop passed me in the opposite direction and turned around and pulled in next to me at a park. He asked me what kind of exhaust I had. I just said Banks thinking he was going to write me up. He then told me he had a 98 1 Ton with stacks! I then told him I had a muffler delete with stainless. Luckily he was a cool Cummins Guy!!!!!!!

Ahhh-true ninja knows that to straight pipe and pass emissions, one must place shell of old cat and muffler around straight pipe, so as to create confusion by ninja stealthiness.
