Oops! Put gas in fuel tank - how do I drain it out?

ATF is formulated NOT to burn, and contains friction enhancers that can cause increased wear on fuel injection components.
Non-detergent motor oil, or 2 stroke oil would be a much better choice.

Made the same mistake, and posted it about a year ago. Removed the filler hose, siphon all that I could (guessed there was a couple gallons left), refilled with diesel, and put some Power Service in for good measure. Didn't have a bit of problems, even though I was hooked to a large gooseneck trailer. Brother-in-law used the mix that was siphoned out a little at a time in a tractor.

When I was a little kid I accidently filled up my mom's 6.2 diesel with gas. Probably 3/4 gas 1/4 diesel.
She drove it like that for a few days and it ran bad, so bad she took it into the shop. They drained the fuel and changed the filter. Didn't do a lick of damage and the thing ran for another 100,000 miles at least.
