put my 05 back to stock, Since I had this done when i'm down to 1/4 tank it runs out of fuel. thought my gauge was just acting up, so carried a 5 gallon with me and sure enough it happed twice! also it only has 52K miles. do I need a new sending unit/lift pump?

Did you do the work? Is your kit the one with a new draw straw or did you modify the in tank pump/ basket?

 

I don't recall if these have a float on a wire!?
If it does, could you have bent it?
