Just put the resignator back on. it is still pretty loud but a lot quieter than a straight pipe.

Try Hog. They have high flow muffler that is as quiet as stock....if you want that.....and it looks great! Its called the Augmentor. Its a stright through muffler that mixes hot and cool exhaust gasses to cancel out noise. Kinda cool if you think about it! Any 4" glass pack would work....Walker has some good ones. Might as well upgrade to 4" to decrease backpressure even further....my thought.....

I'll second that resonator suggestion. Gives it the nice deep rumble without the noise. I love the way my uncles sounds like that.

I agree on the resonator. Or you could just put any 3 1/2" straight through muffler on.

You might try a 'turn down' tip. Basically puts the sound down @ the ground ... not @ the ears. Sure worked for me. Ck my pics.

I had a similar problem. I installed a 4 inch straight pipe and my neighbors were grumbling. So I installed a straight through 4 inch magnaflow with a turn down tip and it was too quiet. So I bought a 5 inch stainless slash tip from summit racing and now it sounds just right ;0)
