Old 4 cylinder cummins??

I was on a farm a while back looking at some old trucks. One was a diamond t with the international cab. It had a large 4 cylinder in it with no markings. I asked the farmer what it was and he said a J series 4 cylinder cummins and some came with a supercharger on it. Anybody know more about it?

Hmmm, If there was an old cummins 4 cyl with a blower on it, I'd love to find out more.

As for the detroits, I believe the old 4-53s had both a supercharger and a turbocharger in series. Sweet motors.

Those series of detroits needed the super charger just to work 2 stroke not 4. As for the cummins couldn't really tell you. If it is on a Diamond T it would be old enough that a super charger was more reliable than a turbo charger.

ALL two stroke Detroits had a blower. As to them having a turbo also, depends on HP.

This one didn't have a blower on the side, it was naturally aspirated. It is about the same size as a 4-71. I thought someone here might know about it. Think it was a early 60s Diamond-T, but used the international cab like many other "small" truck builders.
