A little webasto help

Not sure if anyone has the access to the information I need. I got a webasto thermo 90 S coolant heater off of a loader at work. The unit is fully functional , I even fired it up and let it run a little while before I started removing it. I have the chance to buy it very cost effectively. The problem is it came off a 24V machine. I searched google for a while , and found install/operation manuals , as well as repair manuals all in PDF , and they all refer to the thermo 90 c as 12/24 volts, what I need to know , is will it operate on either voltage , or are there two different models, one for 12 and one for 24V. The only infomation I could find on the heater itself was on the circulation pump , and it read 24V (but it is mounted down by the engine) I found no indication of a source voltage requirement on the heating unit itself.

Does anyone know what one of these units is worth new/used (this one is not very old at all , and in excellent condition,) It is rated at 31 000 BTU at full heat, so it is LOTS of heat to warm up a little B series

Before you disconnect anything, see if the power harness is routed to the battery box. Look how the batteries are hooked up and the harness and you should be able to tell if its wired 12 or 24 volts. Or you can take a volt meter and check the volts at the unit itself.

It's already removed , it came off of a 24V machine ( a Cat 966C loader) What I need to know is will this unit (aside from the circulation pump) operate on either voltage?

If I get time I am going to hook up the electrical to a spare 12 volt battery and see if it will work, but I don't have a lot of spare time at work.

No need to worry about this one guys, I bought the unit from my boss at lunch time for 200$ , left it sitting beside the air compressor. A customer came in and saw it there ,asked the boss if it was for sale, the boss said he had already sold it to me , so the customer came and without knowing how much i bought it for , offered me 1000$ for it.

Needless to say my cummins will continue getting plugged in on the cold days

I sense a way to make extra pocket money , we are forever removing fire suppressions , heaters ,revolving lights, and all sorts of little thingamajigs that someone has bolted onto a piece of crap we bought at work , there is a scale out of a 966E loader sitting in a box on a shelf , removed it because the customer buying the machine didn't need it. those scales are worth a few grand IIRC.

I have two ansul fire suppression systems now , 250$ each , and neither of them has ever been Activated. I am licensed to install fire suppression too.

Nah , that money is already spent, between my lawyer bill ( long story short , i won , cop could not provide evidence against me ) and now I have to pay someone to work on my truck because I just don't have time to do it myself anymore...

We only had one solid week of temps that stayed blow -20 this winter , anything above that I don't have a need to plug in. But for a couple hundred bucks i would install a heater.
