diesel getting higher and higher
Saw an article this morning called "Texas Tea". "The industry has largely concentrated on pleasing Wall Street by hoarding it profits to increase its return on capital..." They haven't been investing much in new oil wells. Like most of us suspected, they're reaping the profits at our expense. That's how business works in a capitalistic free society isn't it.
Yesterday I saw $2.24 in the morning and $2.35 by quitting time.

ya'll aint gonna believe this but here goes. I screwed up my date today and thought that the Big Dowg dyno was today, so I go over to the location, and see a diamond shamrock that had diesel for 1.89. I filled up only cost 45 bucks........talk about remeberin........... I did'nt notice any loss of performance and my water in fuel light never came on so I guess it was good diesel.......
The diamond shamrock is located at 635 and lake (somthin) road on the west side of 635.

this i'll get you going. refiners are shipping to europe to sell at an even higher rate to once again reap an even higher profit. it wont stop till someone at a higher pay grade than me says stop. i may be wrong, but it may just about be time to regulate oil companies just like utilities. they are after all a vital industrie. also, i would like to see wallstreet go away and sanity return to our economy.

Out here on the LEFT coast, I saw $2.75/gal yesterday out in the LA basin. Did a double take to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
If Bush gets re-elected or should I say when, he needs to declare a national emergency and start drilling in Anwar. These prices are ridiculous.

ANWR...
A remote location that would have minimal impact.... and yet, the leftists would be out in arms calling it the end of the world....
The only correct about the word environmentalist is the MENTAL part.

I just got back from the Fuel Station......$ 2.09 for me....almost 31 gallons and $64.81 later......ouch.....this starting to hurt.....I wish someone would / could explain to me why Diesel Fuel (The Fuel that drives America for all you Truckers (18 or more wheels) out there) is as expensive if not in many cases more expensive then Premium Grade Gasoline (94 Octane rating)…….If I wanted to pay this much for Fuel…..I would have bought a Sports Car that required it…..instead of my CTD…….okay I am done……..end rant.

Up North across the 49th lowest price in the Vancouver Area converted $2.59 US a gallon. Actually more expensive than regular unleaded???
The latest marketing scheme is that all stations offer a discount of 3.5 cents a liter of the posted price of unleaded gasoline making it cheaper than diesel

ANWR or The Alaskan National Wildlife Reserve is reported to contain more oil than the Prudhoe Bay field which, started shipping oil out in 1977 and supposedly would run dry sometime around 2000. The existing pipeline could be utilized with a new leg added for ANWR. The jobs created for this expansion would help the economy, the increased oil production in the USA would also be beneficial. Yet the environmentalist continue to argue against it. After nearly 30 years of operation, the Alaska pipeline has had no proven negative effect. Yes the Exxon Valdez incident occured after the oil had left the pipeline, it was loaded on to an oil tanker (ship), which per new regulations, today would not be allowed to load oil onboard.
We as a country need to access the oil in ANWR, and California needs to reopen access for exploration and drilling. I don't condone the abuse of the environment, but we shouldn't shut down and put everyone on welfare while we are waiting for new technologies to arrive. There are watchdog groups and agencies that could and do ride herd over environmental impacts which will be only to happy to campout at ANWR.
I spent over 20 years (retired in 2001) employed by an Oil producer, and no they aren't Saints, but the people there have kids, and breathe air, and use water just like everyone else.
We need access to oil fields here in the USA.

If we can say FTW and invade a country on false pretenses breaking war time rules and making enemies of the entire planet except for England, Poland and a hand full of other countries, why can't we say FT Tree Huggers and drill in the ANWR? I can whip Andre the giant's axe but I can't stand up to Steve Erkel?
