diesel prices

hello,

just to let you california diesel heads know that about 8 months ago i got spam from senator boxer stating that she was going to look into why the price of fuel was getting so high. the assumption was that she was going to do something constructive about the problem. well, i never heard from her again, e mailed her office last week inquiring what was going on with "her looking into it." you guessed it, no reply nor will i hear any thing from her.

the kicker is that she is running for re-election here in california and i for one don't care who i vote for just so long as it is not her.

the way i see it, nothing more than political B.S.

You probably haven't heard back from Boxer because she and her liberal tree hugging friends is trying to ban diesels in CA. She probably didn't realize the CA requires specially blended fuels that the rest of the country don't (won't) use.

diesel prices

the strange thing is that 60 miles south of here in baja california, mexico the price of diesel is 4.75 pesos per liter or about $1.68 US $.

i am getting so tired of being ripped off by the oil companies and being taxed to death, but what can i do. makes me want to live in the baja!

Diesel is the same as home heating oil used in Nort East and other parts of country. So they are stocking up for the winter in those areas now

its a ripoff

Yeh IT sucks...Edit

When i moved about 2 months ago I could buy diesel in TX or in SD for about $1.60 - $1.70 per gallon depending on where. Now the cheapest I can find it is $2.09. I wonder if anyone of the beurocrats (SPELLING ?) actually care!!!Edit ? I think there are too many pockets being lined in Washington by the big oil conglomerats for anyone to really stand up and do something about it. If it gets much higher ill just fill up with JP4 or JP8 jet fuel and add a little oil to the mix.

Someone needs to take a little of this overpriced fuel up to washington and light a fire under someones ****!!!

Sounds like it is time to move ( remove) the muffler and add another 'stock' tank on the right side, then get one of those auxilery tanks in the bed. Then take a little road trip once a month.

The strong Canadian dollar and slower rises in fuel costs have us at about par now instead of lots more to pay at the pump.
I'm actually looking forward to a trip south now as the fuel costs are the same.

I may just put the truck on display as an old relic that can no longer aford to be driven. Prety soon we are going to be like Europ driving around in all these little death trap sub sub sub compact things that look like a cardboard box on wheeles.

Support the American farmer buy barley, hoppes, yeast, water, and biodiesel.
Even the higher price of diesel is better thatn buying gas for the 5.9 Dakota I used to drive at 11mpg.
18-22mpg much easier to swallow.

I am sick and tired of hearing all the excuses from the fat cats to why we are getting raped with these prices,OPEC says it will boost output and it goes down 10 cents for about a week then it creeps up again and someone claims it is because of worries in the middle east or Hurricanes or the moon has changed colors is the reason for higher prices..HOG WASH
