Here in Kamloops BC diesel is 10 to 15 cents per liter cheaper than regular or about 40 to 60 cents per U.S. gallon it's at 75.9 Canadian per liter.

Unhappy

Yes diesel is much cheaper to refine than gasoline. I don't understand it unless it is a supply and demand thing. I know they are expecting a cold winter this year, and may be stockpiling in the north to heat homes. Even here in Houston, Tx , where 80% of it is refined It is about 1.99. Crazy man!

Besides the laws of "supply and demand" in a word... TAXES TAXES TAXES!!! Your local government makes more on a gallon of fuel than the "Big BAD GREEDY" oil companies.. The State, and the FEDS make more on that gallon of fuel.. Now, here is the "Kicker".. Bill Clinton signed NAFTA AND GATT.. This allowed many companies to outsource to overseas points. If you look at nearly EVERYTHING you buy nowadays, it is most likely made in CHINA. China is now comming out of the dark ages and folks there can now buy cars. China is now competing for Fuel. This added strain to produce more fuel for China leads to price rise. Our fuel comes nearly from all imports. Why? Because the ENVIROMENTALISTS don't want the United States to produce its own oil. We cannot drill off the Coast of California, the Gulf of Mexico, in Texas or in Alaska!!!So, now we are at the "mercy" of our dear sweat ARAB friends!!! Thank you Eviromentalists.....

Diesel has to have sulfur removed. The restrictions are getting tighter and that will mean it will cost more for refineries to desulfurize it. That is also why they changed fuel systems, etc. with the 04.5's

So does that mean that Gen1,2 trucks are going to have more fuel problems?

Sorry, I meant that tighter restrictions on air quality have forced automakers to lower their emissions. Also, the refineries will have to produce lower sulfur diesel.

I checked mine too, and it's the same. So then I measured a $1.00 bill from my wallet, and it is 25% smaller. In short, it takes $6.00 today, to get $4.00 did a couple of weeks ago . Diesel went from $1.57 in June, to $2.05 now, I know of 1 store that has it for $1.99 by my work.
