NO, the trick now is to keep it full, for daily driving keep it at at least half. If I haven't seen it go up in a few days, I stop and top it off before it jumps yet another dime...

Idaho Update - New Meadows, Idaho

$2.649 - Diesel

$2.299 - Unleaded

This is strange up here... Still they hold the story that there is no diesel is the state of idaho and they must import from other states.

What'z truely strange is the amount of hunters up here driving around like they have money to burn.

I did take a picture of the sign but when I shink the pic you can't read the signs...

2.25 this morning, up from 2.15 yesterday

Since the county doesnt pay tax on fuel I checked to see what the price difference was today while I was out. The county's price for diesel is 1.76 a gallon. Shows ya how much tax we get popped for

Latest "rescue"

Just got back from a 2900 mile trip from Phoenix to Pocahontas, Arkansas and back. Averaged 19.3 mpg traveling at "normal" highway speeds ( 70-75 mph ). Highest paid for fuel was $ 2.38 in Flagstaff, Az. Lowest was $ 1.99 in Oklahoma City, Ok. Lotsa weather, great trip !

Deisel prices Suck

This price game is rampant in all states. Here in Texas the price of deisel is higher than Premium gas and it doesn't make any sense other than demand. The fuel suppliers just have another way to get at Us. I know from working in the Chemical Ind. that you can get more gallons of deisel from a drum of oil than gallons of gas. This topic is a constant pive of mine and if anyone has a different answer I like to be enlightened.

Here's a breakdown on Road Diesel Taxes in Missouri:
24.4 cents --- Federal Tax (NATIONWIDE)
17.0 cents --- Missouri State Tax ( Your's may be more or less)
.7 cents --- Storage Tank Insurance fund (Mandantory in most states as a pool fund for ground contamination cleanup)

For reference the Federal Tax on Gasoline is only 18.4! Why are we getting charged 6 more cents by the feds???

Awwww **** it, Let's all drive Mini Coopers
