Most stations around me just cranked it up to 2.09 from 1.99 -- truck stop is usually a dime more than that....

Went from $1.99 to $2.29 @ Flying J in the Boise area a week ago. Some stations are charging $2.39. It's running $0.10 to $0. 15 above premium unleaded! This is getting aggravating!

$1.84 diesel, and $1.96 regular u.l. in Eagle River, AK (Fred Meyer)...that's with your free $0.03 off per gallon card.
My 3500 that weighs almost twice as much as my 4cyl 4Runner (commuter) gets same or better mileage....usually

Well, Phillips jumped up to $2.29, so I filled up at Chevron, still at $2.29.

As I was filling up, the owner walked out and raised the price on the sign to $2.31.
Luckily, I was locked in at $2.29.
Took an even $60 to fill to the bend in the filler neck.
I did average 15.5mpg this time though, up from 14.1.
I've been extra soft on the go pedal since the last fillup, just to see how it would improve.

Wanted a CTD since 96, finally got a fixer in March of 04. What happens ? Diesel prices skyrocket DANG ! . I have heard for years "Just be thankfull we dont have to pay what Europe pays for fuel". Found a great website shows fuel prices in the US and Europe as well as what we all pay in taxes. Guess what ? Prices for fuel worldwide are pretty much identical. What makes the huge difference are the you guessed it TAXES! Here is the link to the site called GasPriceWatch enjoy. http://www.gaspricewatch.com/usgas_index.asp
BTW my local shell station today was $2.49 ouch !.

I averaged 17.5 on my last tank of bp supreme, 50/50 city/hwy. This time it was $2.12/gal when I filled up. Argghh there's no end in sight!

It was $2.17 here a few days ago (which sounds like a steal compared to what some of you are posting) but they removed the last 2 digits off the big sign by the road. Diesel & gas are $2.__ but you have to pull up to the diesel pump to see what it's gone up to.

I wonder if they're ashamed to advertize their price. FWIW, this is a high volume Mobil truck stop right off the highway.

i suppose very high fuel costs are a thing we have always had in the UK and we learn to live with them, you can see why american cars only sell in very small numbers here.
it will cost me £135 ($243) to fill up from empty, but thats the price you pay for owning something diffrent, and i wouldn't swap it for anything. i only put about 5,000 miles on the clock a year so it's just about affordable as a luxury.

How is it that the prices can go UP $0.10 at a time but when they do go down it is only $0.02 at a time. One of life's little mysteries. Yea right!!
