Cool boat. A little out of my price range. Did you see the stainless hydraulic pump housing. It looks like it would replace my power steering pump housing. Gotta find one of those.

I have a 25' Steiger Craft that is powered by a turbo diesel similiar to the 5.9 CTD. It is a Volvo which drives a dual prop volvo outdrive (two counter rotating props on a single shaft). Best power package I've seen for a boat of this size. Top speed of abt. 40 mph and a fuel economy at cruise (abt 30 mph) of less than 5 gal/hr. Fuel economy at trolling speed is almost to low to measure. Really has a lot of power when the turbo kicks in. See my posted photos.

Yup
5th row down and second over. You can see it to the far left in the pic.

Nice boat but way out of my range.

High speed Volvo? Smokes like a locomotive trying to get up on plane?

Nope, no smoke. Everybody is amazed at the get up & go of the turbo diesel. The Volvo is equivalent to a first gen CTD. All mechanical (200 hp). When the turbo winds up, you had better be sitting down or holding on real tight!
