Any 6.0L guys??
I had a 97 F250 PSD before I bought the Dodge in my sig. That was a great truck - I even sold it to a friend of mine without any reservations. I drove it about 130K miles and the only significant things I had to replace were a couple of ball joints and a water pump (pump was replaced under warranty). It was an auto and got about the same fuel mileage I get in the Dodge with a 6 spd. The guy I sold it to loves it. Now another friend bought one of the first 6.Oh No's and had several problems with it - the last being a significant leak from (I think) the turbo. The dealership told him they'd need it for a week or two - when he asked why they told him it was because they were going to have to remove the cab to get to the back of the motor. At that point he told them they could just keep the truck. He traded it in on an 04 and I don't think he's had many problems with that one.
As an aside about getting to the back of the motors on, well, ANY of these trucks. Any idea why the manufacturers don't go to a tilt forward hood design like on the medium duty trucks? I'd think that it'd be a) much cheaper to manufacture (could make it out of fiberglass), and b) much less time spent on getting to the actual problem on the back of a motor. That's one of the reasons I bought the Dodge vs. another Ford - half of that darn VT365 in the Ford is underneath the cowl - I couldn't see how you could work on anything in there... At least I can get to most of the Cummins.

My uncle sold his 94 CTD because he was having "problems" with it, he had to replace ball joints , wheel bearings , tranny lines , etc , all the normal nickle and dime stuff.
He bought an 03 6.0 , used , with 37 000 on it (why would anyone trade in a brand new truck with such low miles on it... HMMM) I have not heard a word of this from him , but it is making it's way around the grape vine to me, the truck has been straight from he.. well , you know where. It has been towed into the dealer 4 times , and when it arrived at the dealer ( it was shipping in from another lot) it wouldn't start and drive itself off of the flatbed, they rolled it into the shop. His dodge never left him stranded , without a truck because it was disabled , etc , it was always functional to some degree , the ford , with a little over 40 000 on it (guessing , and that is KMS) has been a worse truck that and dodge it replaced ( with over 300 000 kms on it) and the ford is 9 years newer... some people can't see the light of day apparently...

That quad cab with 4 adults for 4,000 miles is a joke. No leg room, the padding is thin, and the back is almost straight.
Dodge does have some good things that Ford doesn't have.

For those people who want a lot of cab room, Dodge is going to give it to them. The biggest cab ever on a full size pickup.
I'm not sure I want one. A Quad Cab long bed is going to be like parking a school bus, but if a big cab is what you want, here you go.
Friend of mine who is a Ford mechanic said that they had an 04 6.0 (12,000 miles)come in. Blown head gaskets, had to remove the clip & cab for the head gasket swap. He left his box in it, and ended up with the bill.

I dont think they are gonna make the mega-cab with a long bed.

They will not make the mega cab with a long bed. The mega cab will be built on the existing long bed frame. Dodge will simply put a short bed on the long bed frame, and stretch the cab out to cover the extra space, and voila` Mega Cab ! Building a long bed Mega Cab will require a new chassis, new R&D costs, blah blah blah. Don't count on a long bed Mega Cab for sometime.
Right now, people are able to buy their Dodges for 8K-10K of MSRP because Dodge is doing everything they can to keep expenses down. If I recal correctly, Ford has over 7 chassis configurations to support their trucks, Dodge has 3. Those 7 frames increases Ford's tooling and manufacturing costs, passing on to the consumer. Dodge will produce a long bed Mega Cab when they guarantee that they can be profitable with it.
