I gave $2000 less than that 1 1/2 years ago for my '04.5 with 47,000 less miles on it. I knew I should have waited.

I guess all the extra horse power eats up the fuel in the newer models.

KBB is almost 4k less then what he wants. He may be hoping people dont know what type of fuel economy these really get.

30 MPG's x 35 Gallons = 1,050 Miles to a tank... It just not realist...

The common 2nd and 3rd Gens are around 490-630 miles to a tank... Like me I'm getting around 18-20 MPG...

Wow, you really keep track of your economy dont you? What else do you keep that much track of on your vehicle?

Yes I do...

The reason for it is if the MPG starts to drop then something is wrong or changed. Like right now my MPG is down about 3 MPG but we also started using winterized diesel fuel.

Not to mention that I use my truck for business so I want to track how much fuel and other things so I can pass a travel bill to my customers. I track just about everything on my truck...

If I reset the MPG "Guesser" in the overhead console while coasting downhill, I can get 99.9 mpg.

On many of my highway runs I can milk the overhead up to 24.xx

Usually my hand calculated mpg. is in the 19-20 range. A bad tank in the 18s and a really bad tank in the 17s.

I almost never fill up before the high 500s on the odo, and odo plus MTE OFTEN = 700+ during the course of a tank.

30-32 sounds like a nice gasser small car.

I think he must have meant to put - 20 - 23 mpg hwy. Which is moderatly reasonable, maybe, with such a heavy unit. I barely achieve that anymore, and my truck weighs quite a bit less than his.


He's rather optimistic on price, eh?

Note he says it has 50,000 miles, but he then says it gets 30-32 highway. Nothing about miles, and 30-32 kilometers per gallon is reasonable. He must be using metric. That's my theory.

I have got 30 miles to the gal the overhead display was at 6.1 L/100 I think it was, that was at 11,400 lbs according to the scales that were closed at the time ( go figure wouldn't want to be seen at that weight). That was from Revelstoke to Medicine Hat. Not much for power, as usual just wasnt' able to pass anyone. From here to Fort McMurray I will be reading around 7.1/6.9 to 8.3 liters to 100 km's. I do notice the 300 injectors and the Fedexed vp giving lower ( much better power) fuel milage. It is nice to have some of the power that other people have. I still get passed byloaded welding trucks. Since 1978 I have kept a log of what is done to the vehicle. What Impressed me then was that I couldn't hold my own in 4th gear but could accelerate in 5th gear using regular then premium gas in my 78 Toyota Celica. It used to cost me 10% more but got 15% better fuel milage. Even then it cost me over $3000.00 a year for fuel so every bit that I save is money for me.
