2005 vs. 2006
What are the major differences between a 2005 Ram 2500 vs. 2006 Ram 2500 models?

I know the interior is different but what mechanical (engine, trans, etc.)...

i do know they changed some sensors around on the engine...the plugs for the 05 edge juice/attitude wont work on the 06 motors

They also changed the 6spd tranny to an Mercedez I guess. I have one and tried to get a new clutch and they don't make one.

6 spd manual is the same G-56 they used in the 05.5. South Bend has a clutch for it. http://www.southbendclutch.com/g56.html

Big difference in the 48re auto. The 2006 can lockout OD, the 2005 cannot.

Boost tube from aftercooler to intake horn is plastic on the 06. Metal on the 05.

When Ford did this they had a few issues with boots blowing off.
