1st gen vs Chevy 2500HD gasser

So I have a friend that has a 2005 Chevy 2500HD 4x4, 4-door with the 6.0 Vortec and auto tranny. He has been talking a little trash about how he could haul me around the parkling lot if we hooked 'em up. Whaddya all think??

I think you'll spank him if youre close on weight to weight ratio. makes a huge difference regardless of power. Traction is key!

Put it in 4-hi and 2nd gear and proceed drag that silly gasser around like a ragdoll. Hilarity will ensue.

You shouldnt have any problems. Its not about the power, but weight and traction. And you should outweigh him. At the most he weighs 6k lbs.

a back to back pull would be funny and absolutely one sided... a drag race however i would not recommend. my dad had an 01 chevy 2500HD with the 6.0 and 410 rearend. man that truck would haul!

They run ok, but they arent that fast. My buddies 03 with 4:10's ran a 16.7 quarter mile with a programmer, exhaust, intake, and throttle body spacer. A good running truck, but not a rocket ship. Id say with some POD's you could handle him.

my buddys ford v10 got pulled by a 97 stroker, but the stroker had 3 tons of bricks in the bed, and that was mr. v10s first pull off. i say pull that gas everywhere, no doubt about it. CUMMINS rocks
