1999 Dodge 24 Valve Turbo Diesel

I'm looking to buy one and I've come across one not sure how much I should pay as it has been modified and replaced the transmission 5,000 miles ago with a Sun coast tranny.

I'm wanting to know what's the maximum amount I should be paying for this truck here are the features here: Tst chip, ts chip, banks intake manifold, ats exhaust manifold, and k and n intake filter. 235k miles on the motor but came out of the shop with $2000 worth of front end parts. Has roughly around 400hp and 1200 ft lbs of torque to ground. What would you say it would be worth the current price on it is 14,500.

Any help would be helpful

I would offer no more than 8,000 for it...all those mods take away from the value as it was most likely abused.

Geez Lary - you under shot me by about $1,000.00. Of course, I am Canadian and used to paying too much for everything, Eh? I concur that most of those mods are somewhat detrimental to the value off the truck. I wonder how the original tranny met it's end?

Well it does have 235k on it so it did last for quite awhile. The owner said the reason he is selling it is because he's ready for a crew cab

I am going the other way a bit. Yes, a modified truck is somewhat less desirable for most than a stock truck, but that one appears to be clean, and if you note some of the "mods" it appears as if the owner isn't just a slaphead pasting performance stuff on it. Is the owner 35-50 ish with a decent job?

I don't like 24 valves, but I could see myself paying up to 12,500. I would probably lay 11.5 on the table and not go past 12.5.
