hello, i need imediate help on dodge diesel 1999 3500
every time my truck is cold, it takes a lot to turn it on. i took it to the mechanic and they helped me, because it took a long time to turn on, and a lot of smoke whe it was on. they only fixed the smoke and it still takes a long time to get it on. can anyone help me???
Having the codes read is the best place to start. If you don't have code reader, places like Auto Zone will read them for you. Next, you need to check your fuel pressure. Lack of fuel can cause hard start and ruin the injector pump. These truck need a minimum of a fuel pressure gauge.
