Today i was driving my 1999 Dodge turbo with banks system. I noticed on the freeway a lack of power looked up at bbost gauge 0 looked at temp gauge 800 and climbing. Got off freeway and drove home slow not letting the Pyro temp get above 800. I am thinking the waste gate has opened. Can someone tell me how to diagnoise. Turbo still turns. Thank you

 

Have you checked the tubes that connect the turbo to the intake horn, maybe a loose connection? This weekend I lost all boost when my EZ box went south while pulling a mountain grade west of Denver. I unplugged the EZ, plugged the MAP sensor back in the stock configuration, and viola, I had boost again. The truck is really sluggish without the box, but it will be replaced soon! I don't know if the banks kit has a fueling/boost aux. computer, but if it does, you might look there.
