Be willing to pay top $$$ for the 4bt, mpg s/b around 25+. I've researched the idea of a 4bt into my 73 Ford Bronco but the cost of the motor/tranny alone is my concern.

That is the thing, I'd prefer to go with a detuned 6bt over a hopped up 4bt... cheaper, more robust, doesn't shake the chassis to sand. I guess people are buying complete bread trucks for their 4bts, and scrapping the aluminum just to recoup some of the lost $$$ for overpaying for the thing because everyone has the same idea. Thanks to Dodge, the 6bt engines are much easier to come by.

HOWEVER,

Check out this pic... PM me for this owner's contact info. If you're interested.

Been thinking about doing this. I have a 92 S10 with the 4.3 v6 in it. Gas mileage is not the best but its a great truck to jump in and go to the parts store. Was thinking about looking into the 4BT but they are kind of pricey. I have access to a couple 6BT's within 2 blocks of my house. Can you give me some info and how much custom work had to be done to get the 6BT to fit?

Also what about the 4BT how much fab work was put into it?

Great job on the swap of the 6B and can you post pictures of the 4B swap?

Thanks
Chris

I'm starting to build one for a customer right now!! I have the engine, tranny, and most accessories. Waiting to find the "right" S-10 right now.

what front suspension are they using to hold a 6bt? I am thinking a lot of frame boxing and strengthening is done so it doesn't twist into a pretzel...
