These are awesome conversions! Love those!
But because I have a newer body style dodge, the 2nd gen quad cab. I have been dreaming for stretch like the one I saw in these galleries long time ago.
It was a quad cab but they have been welded another quad cab door in to the original to the door was two times longer. It looked like a 2 door mafia style cab.... haha. It was awesome. Do you guys have pics of those? Sorry, I'm not trying to hi jack the htread by no means.

Anyone stretch a 2nd gen quad cab? I would sure love about 12" more rear seat/cab space. The only difficult part seems to be matching the quad cab suicide door to the front full door....any comments?

High_bid: that's the way to go!!
Double the lenght of your suicide doors and you get the best look of all pick-up cab types and the leg room of a crew cab!
I'm jealous for you if you manage to do that.
My best bet would be to buy a another qc cab and take the rear doors and weld them together and use use the spare parts cab floor and roof for the extension.

Just in the "planning/ideas" stage now. I was looking again this AM and thought it might be easier to chop the cab just after the suicide door then you won't have all the door mods. From what I think....you'd then have frame, electrical, fuel line, driveshaft and sheet metal roof-sides-floor modifications. It would almost look like a 2nd Gen Mega-CAb....No? Hey....there's an Idea...I'd be the first member!

DO IT!!!!Love the idea. My friends mega cab is awesome for cab room. I am to cheap to have a truck payment so it will be a few years before i start buying mega cabs. So I am sticking a '98 cummins with a nv-4500 into my old '85 crew cab.

Anyone have any more pics of 1st gen trucks that have been extended this way?? I just got the roof cut off my crew cab and am waiting for the 78 club cab that I bought to be delivered so I can start....
I guess I'm just looking for inspiration.

I knew a guy on RCC years ago that did this. He went by the username of killercuda. He had the whole thing pretty much finished up and one day disappeared from the forum and has yet to return.

Still thinking this issue over. I have the frame, wiring, brake, and fuel line concepts down. Just thinking more about the driveshaft and cab mods. Anyone have an idea on the thickness of the cab steel? I'm thinking 1-3/16th? I don't want to make it too long but somewhere inbetween a s/b and l/b as parking can be an issue. Ideas Ideas....
