Pulling with 37s?

This is a long way off as I would like to have more power and a DD clutch before I pull. Im planning on doing six inches of lift and 37s on my truck how much more likely is it going to be that I break something over my current 35s? Id like to be running at least 550HP before my first tug. I currently have a FASS that I Believe has the big line kit and SMARTY. I believe my clutch is about toast. Eventually im looking at sticks and turbo along with the DD.

you might want to check locally if you can pull with that size tire? around here anything taller than 35" and you are asked to leave and with the lift full driveshaft loops

Wow those guys dont mess around. Whats the big deal about lifted/ big tired trucks? I would think that would be at the expense of the owner, i.e. broken parts.

No problems with it here in missouri. I think if you want to pull you better stay with 35's. IMO they look better too with only 6inches. A few guys say you get more wheel speed with them but the wheels speed you get you could drop to a smaller tire and pull a higher gear. The more tire you got the harder it is to spin them

Well I have 35s with a leveling kit and I think the 35s look small already. It would just be at the local po dunk fair once or twice a year that I pull. I dont think they really have any rules regarding lift or tire size. So basically if pull with 37s and around 550 HP with a DD Im gonna have alot of trouble spinning the meats? I really dont wanna fall flat on my face right off the line that would be real embarrassing for me and the ole dodge with all the ferd boys around.

We ran 37" MTs on the '05 last year - pulled fine in 3rd LO, but 4th LO the stock clutch filled the arena with expensive smoke.

Ha yeah I already pretty much smoked my stock clutch with 35s on the street. Anytime I get on it a little any more the clutch noticeably slips. Soon afterwards the clutch pedal gets extremely hard to push in and after that I need to pump it a few times in order to shift its pretty scary. Dont have the money for a DD anytime soon though.

I pull with 37s and have a DD, Ya i smoked the hel out of mine b4 I got the DD. It pulls really well and I pulled 4th low all last season and looking to go to a taller gear this season, Im running the Pro Comp XATs love em. I think the only thing i tweeked last year was the right hand axel joint matter of fact i pretty much broke it in a back to back pull after the second round and ended up winning the hole thing. Another puller said he heard something pop in the front end.Later that nite I sled pulled taking the top spot after poping the turbo, (stock thin) the next morning loading the truck i noticed it was broke clean in too. Goodluck
