That's exactly the same boat I'm in. 1500* when it hits 3rd. I'm scared to take down the track because I wasn't sure if it's safe or not.

It should be fine. Mine is the same way. I still get a lil paranoid. These motors can take A LOT of heat just as long as the temps are not sustained for long periods of time. Ive pegged my 1600* gauge several times and no problems yet. Just be careful and dont get too carried away.

I hope he don't use your name as a personal reference when he applies for a cop job.

That actually counts as experience points, dealing with someone with a "cleanish" record.

I decided I'm going to hang around Houston on Friday and give Baytown a try. I'll be there when they open - 5:00 pm - if anyone else is interested?

Yup, Street Races on Sundays, when no races are scheduled. But I have to get back home Friday night (4 hr drive). Have a customer coming in from Mexico, early Sat morning.

I want to get mine to a track sometime after I get my FE put in. My best time with my juice has been 14.8 @105. My trap speed is almost always over 100 mph according to the juice. I just need to make it to a track and try it out.
