Finally ran the 1/4....

And while the time wasn't that impressive, the mph was nice. With the smarty on 3 and the TST COMP on 9 I ran a 16.1 at 93mph. My 60ft was 3.0. With the TST on 5 I ran a 16.0 at 93mph. I didn't launch with any boost at all. Last yellow light hit and I floored it. I need billet shafts and twins BAD. After my first run it took a second or two before the gauge came off of 1500*.

knock that 60ft down to 2.0, and you'll be deep in the 14's

I know. It didn't help that I had all of my tools (which came in handy after my downpipe decided to disconnect itself from the rest of the exhaust), subs, big toolbox, and 3/4 of fuel. I just need to go and get the shafts and then I'll be all over low 14's.

Big tires aint helpin ya either..

i can assure u that my truck would run about the same as yours due to all the tools and stuff i carry, and its a stick to boot, BLEH... but id rather be safe and sorry with the junk in my box, cause it never fails

when u get something down, u will usually need it soon after...

14.66 here in Street trim with half the mods and just a Quad race box!

Wanna see my tailgate??

Were you sleeping at the light?(What was your reaction time?)

Did you leave as soon as you saw the last yellow light?

What was your boost at the line? New trans should support 10-15lb lift off.

You really should be running better than that!! JMHO

Don't worry, loose the weight and you will drop the time

As soon as the last yellow lit I hit it. I was leaving with no boost at the line cause I'm still on stock shafts and don't wanna risk breaking them. I know that there's more in here and the MPH proves that.

Reaction time has nothing to do with ET. You could sit there for 5 seconds after the green comes on and it wouldn't change your ET.

BigBlue, 93 mph in the 1/4 should be good for around 14.25 ET with a good leave.

I don't think that you have the power to snap the shafts. I've only seen it done with 700 hp or better. (Then again ....I'd have replaced them at rebuild time! Just to be safe)

I run 10+ at launch kind of hard to tell with a 100lb boost guage(future plans)

With your Hp you should be able to put it to the ground or it is useless!

Putting it to the ground is not an issue. From a roll this is a very deadly truck. It's kinda like me. It doesn't like to get moving but once it's up and running it's running strong.

Loco.Breath, I have a feeling that if I could get it off the line quicker I'd have a better MPH as well and be deeper in the 14's if not tickling 13's. I also think that my turbo is starting to choke me. It pegged 1500* by the top end of second and didn't come off the peg until a good second or two after I had finished running.

The charger is hurting your topend mph a little. Possibly as much as 3 mph or so. I broke a stock output shaft at 471hp with a 10 pound launch. I'd keep it safe until funds arrive for the shafts. And as mentioned the reaction time has nothing to do with ET. I think you will run easy mid 13s with a 15 pound launch and billet shafts. With 285 tires and billet shafts 12s aren't out of the question.

Oh I know this truck is fast and I know the turbo is hurting me some. Oh well, I'll live with what I got until I get the shafts. Just gotta take everyone from a roll. Sounds like I own a stick, not a built auto.

yeah if you can get a good launch you will be all over low 14's, my 79' pretty much falls on its face off the start then come to life at 60 ft' and crosses the line at 90mph and a 14.3
