Ya know, I got to think on the way home today. I had the smarty on level 3 which certaintly ain't helping spool up but might be helping me on the top end. Wonder what woulda happened if I had put it on level 5? Looks like I'm headed back to the track here soon.

Try about a 6psi launch. Should really help the turbo get going faster. Those times are not what they should be at all. I run 2.1 60ft's. What was your 1/8th mile time, and MPH blue? You need billet shafts, and a lockup switch IMO.

1/8 mile was 10.8 at 78mph. Same thing I ran at 373 hp. I've got a lock up switch but I ain't gonna touch it without billet shafts. Talked to james and he thinks that a 3-4psi launch would really help and should be alright. I'm gonna try launching with the tst turned off and once it grabs second I'm gonna flip it on and see how that works. Got a couple of things to try at the track now.

Yes he does. My outputshaft let go at the track around 25-26psi at the line. Ooops. I was under 700hp.

I've been around lurking and reading from time to time. I got rid of my truck May of 05. Sold it right before the big hike in diesel prices so I got the most out of it at the time I could have. Decided to grow up for a bit....got married in 04, bought a house, and the regular cab was just a pain in the butt since there is 4 of us counting the dog and trying for more currently.

Talk to Jambii. He's running 38's or 40's and I remember him mentioning something that your crankshaft has to be below a certain height before they'll let you run.

What size tires are you running? Why not build some boost at the line... will you run way too hot?

315/75/16. I'm not building boost because I have stock shafts and don't feel like snapping them.

Should be ok, the track here lets a guy run rear, he has something like 12 or 15" of lift and runs on 44's. He was on the cover of dieselworld mag.

HMP you can run up to a 49" tire...So we can go down the one time even tho tyler doesnt beleive in 1/8mile he will just have to get over it.

Tried a 4psi launch last night in 2wd. Smarty on 9 and tst off. Nothing but a smoke show and slow coming outta first. This truck just doesn't like taking off with this tight converter. On the stock tranny a 4 psi launch would smoke the tires for 6-10ft.

Well I did some testing today. From a dead stop with smarty on 9 and tst on 5 the truck doesn't start pulling until around 2300rpm and about 20psi of boost at which point it rockets through the rest of first gear and grabs second and is gone.

From a 55mph roll in 3rd locked up at about 2psi I can go WOT and it won't really start spooling until 12-14psi at which point it rockets to 48psi.

So from the little testing I've done it looks like a 12-14psi launch would probably be the best way to leave the line. Any opinions?
