Skeptics, skeptics, always skeptics.

The owner lives in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. The dyno event was in Danville Indiana. He is driving home right now in the truck with his trailer behind him (-:

Give him some time and the graphs will go up, if he decides to post them.

Here is the video. Does that look like 1k in smoke?

Crazy... 1000hp with little smoke and almost 2000 lb. ft. torque...

Why do the turbo's sound the way they do? You can hear them spool up, then the noise goes away, and you hear them spool down after the run...?

Also, anyone know what turbos the truck was running?

what was coming out of the hood? soon as he let off the throttle, you hear a slight pop, then if you look at the passenger headlight, you can see alot of fluid coming out. was that just overflow from the radiator?

The discussion was it probably lifted an injector cup. This was an issue discussed earlier. Made a bunch of 950+ plus runs the night before when they were tuning it.

lots of hard work went into this truck, and congrads to everyone involved.

nice to hear the dmax's are catching up to the dodges as far as power numbers etc, its the strong competition between brands that keeps people taking these rigs farther and farther.

wait so where are the powerstrokes in this picture..?

Those are great numbers.. Were they uncorrected numbers? If not, what was the correction factor? I read the post on The Diesel Place, and I didn't ever see it mentioned?

Last I check Torque moves the truck down the track.

Cuz in the 1/4 mile and ur torque converter locks up in over drive and ur tach hits 1500rpm and then ur truck starts to pull like crazy and u go faster. Its the torque thats moving you.

But it's the horsepower that's moving you quickly.

The only thing that is factored into the computer at the dyno I go to is tire size. The Operator does not correct the #'s. I really want to hit a dynojet. I thought for everything I have I would have hit higher but someone told me I would see around a 30HP bump by hitting a dynojet. Im also going to re dyno when I add a TST twins. I pulled those #'s with Predator stage 3, and crazy larry.

they sound like that simply because of the sound limitations of the video cameras microphone. The whistle became so high pitched as the turbos spooled that the camera mic couldnt pick it up.

Keith is running a custom set of IdahoCTD (nathan wright) turbos

That makes sense. The video would be more fun to watch with a higher quality mic
