Well it's was a good day for the dmax and common rail injection. The twin CP pumps and EFI tuning have really helped the dmax. I hear will be in the cummins as well very soon. Gonna be fun year for all of us.

That's just stupid power. I don't care if it was a dodge, chevy, or even a ford. Any truck that can make that kinda power and still be driven on the street is top notch in my book.

I was not crowning anyone big dog, or anything like that, I was just pointing out that the Duramax puts out just as much hp per ft lb tq. (Which if your numbers are correct, or mine are, this Duramax is a little better per hp. But I am not here to say one is better then the other. Others here were commenting about how much more tq per hp the Cummins puts out. That's all!

Was mad dog's dyno results from #2 only, or was water/meth used on it?

When you get to those power levels, the "ratio's" seem to even out...but for most of us, the Cummins usually ALWAYS makes more torque per HP....at least here in Central Ohio! My old 95 at 400hp was putting down more torque than some Duramaxs with 525-550.

At least that's what I see! Don't take this as a bash, or a "Dodge is better" post, that's not how I mean it! 1000hp is 1000hp, I don't care who makes it, I'll congratulate them! I've said it all along that the Duramax has impressed me...but I still like my old 12v's

It will be interestinf to see how much those blocks can take. BTW MADDOG is not the top dawg. There are many pulling trucks (I hear) that are putting down double his power.

Yeah...you hear, I hear...but they can't prove it! They also CAN'T drive them on the street! I think that's what most of us are after

I agree with this 100 percent, no matter who does it and with what platform, 1000 hp is alot of time, money, and hard work invested to do so and it isnt a goal that just anyone can do with any truck. Again give the credit where credit is due.

BTW, maddogs truck is nuts...

Was the D-max on drugs or straight #2? Either way, that's a lot of power. I'm sure my truck can dyno 1000 HP, but I haven't put my Schieds Diesel sticker on yet.

How about a link to the video? I am with lker for now, i would really like to see a dyno sheet.

If they did it , that's great, and it would have been alot of work.
