Do you see the guy called McRat with the first response?

Yeah, I clean his swimming pool... Small world...

1000 HP/ 2000 Ft. Lbs is pretty wild. It's reflective of how the V-8 puts out more horsepower per foot pound; a P-Pumped Cummins with 2000 foot pounds is putting out 800 horsepower?

Oh, nice freakin' trolling iker. [dummy] Grow up.
You should be ashamed of yourself. I don't doubt their numbers for a second.

On another note, this dyno event was three miles from my house. If I drive out there now I could probably get some pictures for you...

Or does the Cummins just put out more lb-ft per hp?

As far as I could tell, you registered just to annoy people in their time of success by saying that you don't respect their "maxipad" because it isn't a Cummins. They all obviously have very high levels of skill, money and effort into their trucks, you don't need to show your ignorance by countering 1,000 HP by making fun of their truck's names and saying that it won't be as reliable as a Cummins. HP is what gets you down the track; torque is what breaks drivelines as you try to leave the Christmas tree. [coffee]

cummins typically makes peak torque at a lower rpm. hp= tq.x rpm/5252 so if 2 trucks make 1000 ft. llbs. but one does it at a lower rpm that truck will have a smaller hp number.

Well, there's a little more to it than that. To a certain extent, peak torque and peak hp are independant. It was meant as a joke...

Congrates to the D-Max crew and their great numbers.

Was that number with the stock internals?

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that....Horsepower and torque are directly related. Horsepower is calculated from torque at a certain RPM, and they are both ALWAYS equal at 5252 RPMs

I know how hp is calculated. The shape of the torque curve is going to have more impact on the peak hp then what rpm the peak torque occured at. If the torque curve is more flat, then you will have higher peak hp numbers. If the torque curve starts falling off after peak torque you will have lower hp numbers.

We really need to see the dyno because, at this point, we are just guessing where that truck starts making it's torque.

Crower Rods, non-oem pistons, CNC ported head, and some Don M sticks....at least that's what was posted on Comp Diesel!

I thought Mad dog put down something like 994/1800, if that is the case, then this Duramax has more torque per hp, then Maddog's Cummins. I am sure my memory is distorted. Let me know.
