Twins, Twins, Twins, Twins, Twins............
Thats more drivetrain vibration, both my 3600 and my first 3250 had the familiar noise with the clutch pedal pressed. My new 3250 doesn't make that noise, it has rubber isolators between the floater plate and flywheel.
The slower shifting and the rattle when lugging it (I find it is usually only in direct drive) I think is part of the DD experience.

Nothing major, Tate, but I hate the rattle at idle with the pedal pushed in, still slow to shift, & it really rattles the tranny if I lug it below 1800 rpm or so with the trailer on the back.
The pedal pressure is fine (near stock), my wife can still drive the truck empty but you always know it's there.
The latest generation of SB dual disk's don't rattle at idle anymore. Brad (Goatbrain) has a newer gen street SB DD 3600 & it's quiet at idle with the pedal pushed in.

My SB DD 3250 has 2 or 3 springs & 2 or 3 polyurethane pucks per clutch disk. It's a compromise vs. solid hubs.
The SB documentation that came with the clutch had all kinds of warnings to NOT lug the engine with this clutch.
I don't have a fluid damper, Tate. Do you really think it's worth the near $500 for one?
Next time we get together I wouldn't mind comparing clutches.

I really don't mind the shifting with my 3600. What concerns me is the noisy throwout bearing and crazy knock I have with the clutch engaged in neutral. I've lugged my truck before and it really doesn't vibrate any worse than the old clutch. My old single disk and this new dual practically weighed the same when I had them out.

I have a friend that just put a SB OFE clutch in a 01 truck 4X4, the clutch is half worn out. I had to adjust the pedal so he could shift the gears again last weekend. The clutch is about three/four months old. He hauls a 14-16k trailer, the truck is bone stock except for a set of 60HP sticks, but of course I built the engine, so its more than a stocker
Me and Steve put it in, it was the newer style that has the rubber pucks in it. Either way something sounds like it's gonna blow under my truck haha
He only speaks the truth... Sometimes that truth hurts.
Speaking of which did you get yours put back together? I heard through the grapevine yours followed that unfortunate path that most CR's eventually do.
