Just curious. are they gonna coat it with their "velvet black" 2000 degree ceramic coating Mike?

If you want your's done that way, I talked to Steed and can arrange it after we get the flange welded on. Still tweaking the design some. Hopefully i can get the new design by the end of the week. Can even get the turbine housings and hot pipes done that way, if you wish.

Hi Mike, thought you were gone North for good....
Just the manifold done with their pretty coating would be sweet. The other stuff we can do at your powdercoaters, sound good?
How is everything else going with the other CR build?

No just a few days up here. Suppose to start heading home tomorrow. Probably will be back in a few weeks. Found some work at least.

Still waiting on a Steed manifold that I could use for both trucks. Then I'm waiting on your turbos to come in. Should be in by the end of the week. At that point it goes pretty quick.

Sounds good Mike.
I got a smokin' deal on some DDP 90hp tips Mike so I have them on route. I will switch the tips on my spare injectors and have them flow tested in the mean time. I couldn't pass up the offer.

Sweet buddy, just to update you I'm waiting on a correct exhaust manifold and turbos for your truck. Just got in the wastegate for your truck. I guess not too many people out there run twins with a T3 turbo and external gate. I have an order in for four manifolds, if I get one that I'm happy with. Two with T3 and two with T4I flange (6.7L stock turbo flange)

Hey Mike. I'm going to install the injectors as soon as I get them back from flow testing and drop my Smarty to #1 so I dont melt her down...
That way things are ready to tune right off the hop. Hopefully the exhaust won't be an issue??

It will be intersting to compare the dynomite 90's vs. the sdx 90's that I have coming in. I was told that the sdx 90's run clean and have better egt's than the stockers but once you get the programmer cranked up, they make tons of power. I want to throw a set into my 2010 truck, once I get enough guts to try.

They are priced right, as far as common rail stuff. Not cheap like the 12V or 24V stuff. The six new nozzles are $600 and each new injector was $370.

I'm used to paying around $400 to $600 for a complete of six injectors, with SDX nozzles. So the price jump is a shock for my system. What the heck, Bosch sure must have a big profit margin for their injectors. Mix in the fact that you have to know someone and be a buddy, in order to get them.

For the price of a new set of sticks, I could almost build a fresh 12V

Well bad news Mike. Looks like all 6 of these injectors are garbage!!! They flow tested them here in Red Deer and they leak like crazy. All 6!!!!!!!!!

So, I guess I will have to pull mine and put the 90hp DDP tips on them instead...

Bad luck buddy, seems to be a shortage on injectors out there. I have lots of 12V and 24V stuff, but not a lot of the CR stuff yet. I can't beleive that the failure rate on injectors is so high. Makes me worried to drive the new truck. My egt's towing the RV last weekend was 1100-1200 deg's on stock mode. Sure made me wish I had twins on my 2010 truck. Sure glad that I have gauges.

Where abouts did you get your injectors tested in Red Deer?
