Canadas worse driver
I don't really watch this show, but where do they get their vehicles from?....I can't believe the nice cars they destroy for this show....Like they are beating a rolls royce to death right now and I think I seen a 2 door rambler and corvettes being destroyed...

I love the show, my 7yr old and I just howl watching it. It seems like its in ontario (CFB Borden) I believe they just bondo them up and give a quick splash of paint, ontario suffers from rust just as bad as the east coast

That show is awesome. The vehicles on this season seem to be a bit fancier than seasons past. Vettes, Roll's, pimped out mini trucks. They did have a Porsche last season. But it was a 944, may as well have been a VW.

I can nominate you as Canada's Worst Driver for next season, then we will go liberate it. Lets build some rediculous bumpers for you crashing into other vehicles for the promo footage.

I want to go on that show soooooo bad, I think the things they have to do look fun, not challenging but they just really suck. Who couldn't do drifting donuts in that vette??

Off topic, since I've never watched that show...
Hey Fred, what's the status of your truck?
Did you get your new trans back from Goerend yet?
We were wondering about you at last w/end's GTG...

Gregg, you gonna install the tranny yourself or get a local shop to do the install? You have to let us know how you make out. Your truck isn't that hard of an install. the worst thing is getting out that frame/tranny support. I just use a sledhammer. What/which converter did you go with?

not to get off topic, but a cheap frame spreader can be made from a sissor jack and a piece of pipe, I welded a length of square tubing to an old GM jack, and it worked great and was a cheap tool!

2.5 lbs. sledge worked well enough for me. I used a small PA port-a-power for doing body work for spreading the frame on my dually. Worked well, but it wasn't mine. I own the hammer, and it doesn't take much.

I was referring to fredneks tranny in answer to Joe's question Mike, lol.
But as for your questions I plan to go with a Goerend as well, they seem to have excellent customer service and warranty, and are pretty stout looking. Tranny will be full billet with input and output shafts, flexplate, lockup switch all that jazz and their triple disc billet torque converter. Six months and counting, figure to drop her in in april, thinking of driving down to Iowa and just having them slam it in, cheaper than having it shipped, pay for the core charge, have to have that shipped back, custom charges and **** for going over the border and what not.
