1500 or 2500 coil springs

Your right Jason...There is a plow option that could be ordered from factory..I don't know if my truck has this option or not,because the tags are missing...Here is something that I also read that I didn't know..The drivers and passengers spring ratings are different for each side..The rating on the drivers is a higher rating..

Dave, I would try the 1500 springs and see what you get. Its only a few hours installion and its a pretty easy install. You probably can find them free somewhere or for a box of donuts.

Thanks Mike...I think 1500 springs from a 4x4 would be the best...Have to find a set..I think 2 wheel spring maybe be to weak...But then I don't know..I think this project will be trial and error..

2wd springs are shorter, and I am betting a lot higher spring rate, since they are about midway of the A-arm, so they will be seeing twice the force, but half the distance during suspension travel. Might want to look into 2500 4x4 coils from a 360 gasser.

yes, i also came across that but fogot about till now. they did the ratings different for each side becasue of the fuel tank and driver in the driver seat making the driver side slightly heavier. from what i understand, or have come across - all aftermarket springs are rated equal from side to side, unlike the different factory ratings.

Dave, I think the trick is to find some feebie springs and see what you get for a resultant. Go from there and see what you end up with. I'm game to give you a hand with it.

Thanks Mike...The only springs I have so far is Frednecks front springs of his diesel 4x4..Which I would think,would not give me my 2 inch drop..
