1500 Off road coil springs
4X4 1500 Off road coil springs
Has anyone tried this?? Installing 1500 off road coil springs in a 2500 or 3500??
They where installed on the 2000 and 2001 1500 4X4 off road package.I still want to get my front end down while keeping the spring rating close.
I have #39 springs rated at 1688 lbs with a installed height of 12 7/8 inchs (327 MM).
Looking at #23 or #24 rated at 1621 and 1770 lbs with a installed height of 12 1/8 inchs (307 MM).
Not that easy finding a off road package in the wreaking yard..
Maybe able to get new ones..but not sure in I will get my one to 2 inch drop..Maybe the truck will ride/handle worse..

There is a dizzying amount of spring options for the 2nd gen rams.
They also use two different spring rates right to left. You may have to experiment and see if they will last. They may sag quickly from the extra weight of the diesel engine.
Can you find a shop to cut a turn off your stock set?

I have to stick to the heavier 6 coil spring....I was going to cut half a coil, and depending who you talk to,one says its ok and the next said its a bad idea..
Shorter the spring the less give on the spring...May still try it.If it works...great...if not..put the orginals back in and quick mucking around with this aready...
Tell me about...20 different springs for the 94 to 2002 1500,2500 and 3500..I tried the 5 coil spring...That didn't work very well..

You'd have to change your sig, too! 95 Dodge, 6.11 rear, blah blah. Probably a lot of trouble.
How about getting a custom set turned by a Southwestern off road shop. May be a little spendy, but could have what you want.
We used to get custom coils for I-beam Fords from E&C Spring in Escondido, CA. They may still be there.
