Need a little help.....
My '99 3500 is DOA.
I'm looking at this 2012 Ram 2500 Big Horn Truck Crew Cab.
http://www.haleyoffarmville.net/new-...&SBprice=clear
Sticker is $54k and change.
Dealer sent email that lowers it to $46,895 + tax/tag etc.
That's a tick over 7 grand off.
I haven't truck shopped since I bought my '99 dually new for less than $30K.
Does this sound close to what others have been paying?
If so, I'm pulling the trigger on it this weekend.
Any advice is welcome.

I could've got $12k off sticker on an SLT last fall, but went slightly used instead (paid $38k, same color as yours). I'm pretty sure if you shop around you should be able to get at least $10k below sticker. If all else fails use Dave Smith in Kellog, ID as your baseline.

I got 11K off sticker on my SLT with extras. Guy ordered it then didn't want it or couldn't cough up the dough. Either way it was exactly what I wanted including the right color. Depending on your area and how many dealers are around, you should be able to pull better than 7k off the sticker. Ebay is also a good ruler to use when dealing with salespeople.
Good luck on the new truck. You'll be pleasantly surprised as I was.

I don't think I could ever be happy again with an SRW after ten years with my dually...But I'm not the one who has to be pleased with a new one......Ben

Don't get me wrong.... I LOVED my dually......As long as I had Wifey's LandCruiser to drive if the weather got snowy/icy, or when I had to buy new tires.
I now need to be able to drive 170 miles in any weather... just in case.
Even a dually with 4X4 is a bear in snow because of the wheel tracks, unless you 'chain up'.

You ought to give Dave Smith's a call. Lets just say if I ever buy another new truck, it will be from them...again. Best service ever, and they just might fly you up for free

Shot an email to Dave Smith, currently trading emails with Briley.
ETA: Dave Smith Dodge is 2,500 miles away.
Better be a GREAT deal just to pay for the diesel fuel food and motels on the return trip.
If nothing else, it will give the local guy a heart attack when he tries to match the price.
ETA: Looks like pretty much (exactly) the same price as the 'local' dealer is giving.

Well that's a bummer to hear. You should try Carsdirect.com as well, give you a little more buying power, especially if they are little less with the same or even more options. You can buy directly through them and pick it up through the local dealer
