Dash Switches

You can put the switches where I have mine. That is a nice easy spot to access and it is close to the battery power to wire in extra switches.
You don't have to use the aircraft style covers like I did.

Haven't had anytime...parts are here. I'll see if I can find time one night this week...or maybe during work if things are a bit slow.
House shopping is taking up all my time...but I think it'll be worth it

I've seen pix of the "upfitter switches" for the 2011 chassis cab. It's supposed to have 3 "always on" and 3 "key on" power feeds. I wish they'd let us buy them for the current models since I hate to hack up my dash. I'm not above that, just don't like doing it.... I've gotta have my inverter, extra camera, extra lights, air compressor switches, etc.... Since the 2011 chassis cab models are out I would believe that they would have a part number for the switch bank....

I have the switch bank sitting on my desk...problem is, if you have any of the power options, heated seat, etc...you'll have to lose them to make room for the factory upfitter switches
Chris
BTW, if anyone would like it, PM me...I'll make you a heck of a deal on it to get some money back!

Aux Switches
I know this thread is from back in 2010, but I have just purchased the Aux Switch bank to install in my 2012 3500 crew cab dually. The tech's at my dealership gave the the switch bank (part number 05164912AC) and told me they did not know how to install it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I know the switches are 5 volt switches used to controll relays somewhere in the truck. My questions are:
1. Is there a connection pre-wired under the "RAM" slot in the center bottom of the dash?
2. Where are the relays these "Aux" switches control and will they be labled?
3. Will I need to do anything other than install the switch and run appropriate cables to associated additions (ie: fuel pump for spare fuel tank in bed, Flood lights)?
Thanks in advance!
Angelo

There is a good write up over at the following ram forum. I saved this link a long time ago to do this mod one day.
http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=106672
You either need to get the factory relay/fuse box from a wrecked upfitted chassis cab, find it new, or build your own relay bank like what was done in the above forum.
Good luck and post up the install once you get it going.

Are these the ones you're looking for the part number?
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ctures-309506/
If so, the switches are 5164912AC and the harness that plugs into them is 68057288AA.
I installed them in my 12 a long while ago. I used the following diagram to wire it up. They have been installed for a couple years now and all I have changed is I went to a smaller sealed relay panel under the hood in the same location as my original post shows. If I were to do it again, I would not jumper pins 1&7 instead running switches 1/2 on direct battery power and switches 3/4 on an ignition switched power.
