2010 HD add-on option opinions?
2010 HD add-on option opinions?
I have a 2010 3500 Laramie SRW 4x4 crew (all black) w/ a manual on order. I need to add a few items to it shortly after I get it, and being new to Dodge, I am looking for ideas on what folks have found that will work for the new HD's. Most places don't have anything listed for the 2010's yet.
- side steps/nerf bars. I don't like the factory chrome steps. Want something made out of stainless that will not rust-off in a few years of road-salt. Black would be best, but stainless would be OK also. Anyone make one that's all stainless? Wife will make this a priority given how high the truck sits...
- Bed mat - is the 2010 HD long-bed the same as the 1500 long-bed? Want a heavy-duty rubber mat. I'll be having the truck Rhino-lined, but want a bed-mat on the bottom.
- Floor mats front and rear? Weathertech seems to now make them - anyone have any experience with them or any others?
- 5th-wheel hitch mounting for a Signature Series hitch? Need the rail mounting kit for my Signature Series hitch - doesn't seem to be listed yet, but I'm assuming it will be along shortly (I hope!).
- 5th-wheel trailer wiring - to bring a trailer plug up into the bed. Does Dodge offer this or anyone have a source for a "plug-in" harness to bring the electrics into the bed?
Thanks for any and all opinions and pointers!

Just got an answer back on the Signature Series hitch rails: "... the manufacturer informed me that it will be a few months still before they are released. They are having to redesign the brackets due to some slight changes on the new models. They were not able to give me an exact date, however I would expect it to be sometime this spring."

ride rite has airbags, same as 2009. i put them on already and it was fine. I ordered nerf bars fro mine, 199 shipped from runningboardworld. they bolted up perfectly. BW g/n hitch was a PITA to put in and directions need to be revised for 2010.
Did you get nerf bars for a mega-cab 2006-2009 or what exactly did you order them for? Also, perhaps a stupid question, but what does the leveling kit do for you - raise the front or drop the back?

ordered from running board world. they knew what i was talking about and assured me it would work. the instructions said 1500 crew cab and everything bolted up no drilling. levelling kit raises front end, looks good but need alignment after its done, just lifts front
i have a 2010 crew and for nerf bars i got the one from dodge added on when i bought it. As for as the goose neck just put a B/W in a few days ago. took me about 1.5 hours. Not a bad job just followed the instructions. the only variance was removing the plastic cover from the finder well and for the floor mats i just picked up a set from dodge about 200 bucks but they match the interior really well.

It was a PITA on my longbed. I had never done one before so I can't compare to others. Exhaust, brake lines, vent lines were all in the way. I did it alone so had to make a pulley/hoist system using my atv and winch! Took about 4 hours w/ coffee breaks.
lmao, sounds like my adventure also. i put a bw in my 04 and i dont recall it being as difficult with manuevering the plate up in there.
i have a short bed. and other then it being a tight squeeze i did not have a problem getting it up in to place. like i said all i had to remove was that plastic wheel well cover and it went all together in about an hour and a half and that is taking time to enjoy a cold one during the process.
electric step running boards, bushwhacker flares, rbp grill "looks awesome" banks exhaust and intake "full line of performane parts will be 2 more months" level ready frontend lift. mopar store has some nice looking hd matts , front and rear, nice coverage. jl stealth speaker boxes for audio upgrades. road armour bumpers are out of development. click on some of the links below, its a bunch of the stuff i mentioned
