2013 Manual High Idle function

Hello gang I am new to the site and new to the diesel world. I love my Cummins I am glad that I changed from the Hemi and got a 6-speed manual. I have been searching several sites looking for answers to the question of high idle function in the manual transmission. I went to the dealer today and have them activate the PTO and now my confusion comes from different sites on where to ground the wire? Some say in the engine bay the number 22 fuse and others state under the dash in the cab. I have not seen anything on the 2013 model I hope someone can help me with my confusion I'm ready to get the high idle working. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and input Thanks Joe

Firefighter here is what I found the dealer will need to enable to the computer to turn it on, and next in the 2500s there needs to be a switch added, it is not as simple as grounding a wire. The 3500 my be different so for right now I need to check with the dealer for my options. I will up date as I find out.

On my 06 3500 I had to add a ground wire to the the ecm, along with have the dealer activate the pto. Then the cruise control buttons would active the fuction.
I got the pin to add to the ecm from Cummins, it cost like 10 bucks. I would think the 6.7 would be the same way as the 5.9 was, just need to know the correct spot.

I don't see how you can ground a fuse, that will just blow the fuse.

Ramrod that was where I started I seen several post like yours the group d wire and have g the dealer activate the PTO, but seems the 13+ can't just attach a ground wire, there is more to it, I haven't given up and o ce I head back to the dealer I will inquiry about the switch I have seen. How do you like you manual high idle?

Hi idle and PTO are two different functions, your gen 4 trucks are a different animal. Do some more research on this forum as it has been discussed before.

When my son bought his 2011 3500 he purchased it with the understanding written into the sales agreement that it would have the high idle activated as he idles lots. When the truck came there was no fast idle available but they did come up with a device that they installed, I actually think one of the techs may have made it.. It was two toggle switches mounted into the side of the steering column and two speeds which worked fine for him. After he installed the mini max he just used that for the high idle. Some time in 2012 I was asked on here to look into what they did, I found that they did have an after market kit but had stopped using it in 2012 and high idle was no longer available because it caused the engine rpm to fluctuate. 2013???? big question but it wouldn't surprise me if there is nothing available. Not what you wanted to hear but son says it works great on his 2013 Aisin auto.

From Chrysler Engineering they say the 2012 models do not have PTO capability. Not sure about the 2013.

on the 2012 turn on cruise control, than push the + and _ together and engine revs up to about 1150 rpm.
