Hey guys. My truck came from the dealer with water in the washer fluid container instead of washer fluid so needless to say, it froze this winter
Once I got it thawed out it worked for a few shots, then quit working. pulled the pump out and hot wired it, and it seems to work fine. Evidently there is no fuse, so, where do I go from here?

This is what I have for the power supply... You're checking the power when someone else is activating the washer motor, correct?
The washer pump/motor control circuit is energized
through a high side driver within the Front Control
Module (FCM) whenever the FCM receives an electronic
message requesting washer system operation
from the instrument cluster over the Programmable
Communications Interface (PCI) data bus. The
instrument cluster monitors a resistor multiplexed
hard wired input from the momentary washer switch
contacts within the multi-function switch on the
steering column to determine when it should issue
the electronic message requesting washer system
operation.

Ok, no, I understand... I deal with Marines all day... and I am one...
Get a multimeter or a test light. Stick the positive lead in the plug, and the ground on a good piece of metal on the truck. Have some one press the switch for the windshield washer fluid. Put the positive lead in the other hole. Did you get 12 volts in either of them? If yes, then replace the washer pump. (I can give you the details on that, too.)
If no, then you need to find the wire that controls the WW fluid pump coming from your column and see if it's putting power out. You may have to remove the cover on your steering column if you cannot locate it coming from underneath the kneeboard. There are 2 Torx head screws on the bottom, if I remember correctly. You'll have to pull the steering wheel tilt **** (if equipped) off... just pull it straight out, I think. Then, carefully seperate the two pieces. The dust cover for the shifter will come out too. The wire you are looking for is violet with a light green stripe that goes into your instrument cluster from the multifunction switch. Pin 8. This is the wire that sends the signal to the FCM. Pierce it and see if it has power when the switch is activated. If that's not it, then you may have a bad switch. If you do have power there, then you have to look to the FCM. That's were things get difficult...
If you test the stuff up there and still have no love, I would suggest getting the truck plugged into a DRBIII at the dealer and using that to trouble shoot it. The FCM is under the fuse box, or IPM, and I believe that it's just a printed circuit board. If you need me to, I can go deeper, but do the stuff up there first...

thanks madhat, I have no power at the plug with switch engaged and pump motor is good. I will check for power from the switch as instructed. you're the man for taking the time for such detailed instructions thanks again
