You are very welcome on the link. And not to worry, I miss stuff all the time on here myself. It is harder when the threads are real long like this one too.

it would have been nice if Dodge would have someone engineer zerk fittings into this new and improved steering system

Ya, I wish they had them too. Now, the only thing on the truck to grease is the cordon joint on the front drive shaft.

My Jeep has the original ball joints and tie-rod/drag-link end joints. They've always been greased every 3K... and I'm still greasing them.

As stated above, I don't see why you couldnt' just drill and tap your own zerk fitting...

Since they're sealed, they're greased. Not only do you run the risk of drilling to deep and damaging the actual ball joint, you'll never get the metal shavings out. You'll ruin the tie rod ends faster with a damaged joint and metal shavings than you would if you never had the ability to grease the joints to begin with.

That's just my .02 though, your mileage may vary

Ya, I agree... which is why I wish they came already installed, or designed and made that way. I'm not going to hack them in on this truck. I've got the Jeep for that.

Stupid me forgets to ask him exactly how he is going to recreate this. I know we are a little slow down here in Alabama, but isn't this death wobble a common issue? I've seen it happen to someone else and prefer not to experience. I'm just trying to figure out how he will recreate and why on my truck. Any advice would be appreciated.
Did you see that dirt bike trail out behind the dealership? Need I say more.

So I've been driving mine for about a week now, and see little to no improvement with the wander on the road.
They put a new steering gearbox in as well, and I made a complaint with Dodge customer service as this is the 3rd gearbox (2 on my 05 in 70k miles, and 1 on my 07 in 24k miles) They documented my complaint and it should be warrantied should I have a problem again after my 36k warranty is out. If I jack the front tires off the ground, I can grab the driver tire, and rock it just slightly from top to bottom. The pass side is tight, so I'll have to take it back and have them replace whatever is causing this. Hopefully this will cure the wandering.

That's a ball joint or wheel bearing. Either would cause wandering for sure.

Well, I just got my upgraded steering installed this afternoon and all I can say is WOW!! All of the slop in the steering is gone, I also put in a new gear box. The truck drives like new agian, well pleased with the results. Glad I found this thread.

I have Toyo MTs mounted on stock wheels and it pulled to the right. The dealership here in Mexico installed this on Friday and so far I have not felt the truck pulling to the right. I also had them balance & rotate my tires using an X pattern, maybe that also helped.
