I live in Phx and run the Michelin AT/2 in the stock 265/70R17 on my 4x4. I have them rotated every 5K miles at Discount Tire. Currently they have 12/32" tread remaining after 25K miles, they started with 15/32" tread. I figured I might get 40-50K out of them, but they are doing much better than that. I use my truck for daily driving and similar camping/shooting/forest use, they have provided all the traction I've needed offroad (including in sandy washes) while being the best truck tire I've used on the pavement.

I also have the Michelin AT/2s in the stock size on each of my trucks. The 03 4x4 has 64,000 mi on the tires which show 8/32" remaining. This is my daily driver and use it on logging roads, camping, beach, construction sites and oil patch area without a problem.

My 01 is not a 4x4 and has 7/32" remaining with 81,000 mi;however, that is all highway. I thought the original Michelin's (LTX) were good for highway duty only, however, the AT/2 surpasses all of my expectations. This is especially true when the cost per mile is calculated. I have yet to find a tire that provides the bang for the buck that Michelin does in the stock size.

The top MICHELIN and top BRIDGESTONE will be too old before they are worn out (tread remaining) unless one is putting on really high annual miles (20k plus).
